2022

Updated: Jul 13, 2022

Welcome friends to the last few days of 2021. Soon we will embark on a new journey- another year. We do not know what ‘22 will bring. For some, it may bring heartache, while others may experience salvation (I hope so) or, for others, a better personal circumstance. Whatever 2022 brings, praise the Lord. He is in control.

There is no need to discuss the world situation around us. We all know and see sadness and despair. Our world deeply touches us in one way or another. However, I tell you that God is still on the throne. However, through all the mayhem, civil unrest, and uncertainly, God continues to allow most of us to see another day, provide for our homes and families and save us from Hell if we allow him. Please know we are nothing without his love and forgiveness. The cross is still the cross, and his death is still the same. Nothing changes these facts.

This blog is not about gloom and doom. It is about changing lives and accepting Christ before it is too late. I am sure many of you have already done so. However, there may be friends and family who have not, maybe out of fear or disbelief. That said, everyone must decide for themselves. So, this blog is not here to beat anyone over the head about Christ. It is about encouragement and hope. We must always talk about why we have hope in Christ. He is our hope and salvation.

For those of you who want to tell friends and loved ones about Christ, I have included a video that will make hairs stand on the edge or strike fear in some. Often, we talk about how God is love; however, He is also a God of justice and punishment (this is not a popular subject). No one can tell a person how to decide about their eternity. It’s up to that person and only that person.

Now for the best news, once the person accepts Christ, life changes. There will still be problems and challenges; however, eternal hope changes from insecure to secure. What a way to start the new year! People always make new years resolutions. Please add this one thing to the list- becoming a child of the king. It does not mean life becomes more manageable; it does mean eternal life is secure. There is nothing secure on Earth. There are taxes, car payments, house payments, legal trouble, and many other things. Many people saw the new year come in; however, they didn’t see the year to the end. Is it worth not knowing one’s eternal fate? It is never too late. God does not condemn us. He gives multiple chances. His patience is amazing. It is time to start a new chapter. Last year is gone and will never return, however this is a new year. That said, please visit YouTube to view this 8-minute video about the alternative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8wqQlQZMTw

Thank you for supporting my blog this year. I hope it helps those of you straddling the fence. Remember, God does not promise we will see another day. However, he does promise everlasting life. If you have questions, please speak with a pastor. I hope to visit with you in the coming year.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should do not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world; but that the world through him might be saved. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (from Hell and God’s wrath). John 3:15-17.

Be blessed,

Dorothy
