Welcome friends to another week. I would like to share a personal story with you. As I think about millions of women worldwide killing their unborn babies, I realize I could have been one of those who decided to end a life. Years ago, before Jesus saved me, I cared about life to a point. However, when it came to others, my thinking became muddled. Yes, I am ashamed to tell this out loud; however, it was who I was; not who I have become. Purposefully deciding to take the life of a defenseless unborn child to end the pregnancy is abortion, to be frank murder. That said, no one has the right to decide who lives or dies except God.
If I may use this quote from the Christian Medical and Dental Association:
“The beginning and continuity of the moral worth of human life are concurrent with human life itself. Human worth begins with the one-cell human embryo and lasts lifelong. A living human being is an integrated organism with the genetic endowment of the species Homo sapiens. This includes the inherent active biological disposition for ordered growth and development in a continuous and seamless maturation process. It also includes the potential to manifest such fundamental traits as rationality, self-awareness, communication, and relationship with God, other human beings, and the environment. Thus a human being, despite the expression of different and more mature secondary characteristics, has genetic and ontological identity and continuity throughout all stages of development from formation of the human being until death. Human embryos are not “potential” human beings; rather, they are human beings with potential. Moral worth is not dependent on potential.”

King David wrote: I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalm 139:14
Once saved, I realized Human life is sacred. God created each of us in his image. He did not shudder when thinking about his creation. God made us because he wanted his creation to be his children. We are not on Earth due to random thoughts or thoughtlessness. God decided when we would be born and how long we would live. That said, God has a purpose for each life. He did not create us by accident.
If I may share another part of my life with you, I was a preemie weighing 2 pounds at birth. My mother could have very quickly decided to kill me before birth. She was a single mother of one. To make matters worse, she did not have a high school education or the ability to get a good job. My sister was about two years old at the time of my birth. My mother gave birth to me, then gave me up for adoption. She chose life instead of death. In those days, I am sure she could have found a way had she wanted to abort me.
When we were born, God wrote his commandments on our hearts. As Dr. Jeremiah says, we do not know all the 600 or so laws from the Old Testament; however, we know what is right or wrong. Thus, we know murder is wrong. Therefore no one has an excuse in front of God. Romans 1:32, Romans 2:15, Romans 1:18. https://www.desiringgod.org/interviews/how-is-the-law-written-on-every-heart
Many women have bought into this ideology that the baby does not feel pain, nor can they hear. First, they do feel pain. The medical profession proved that as early as 12 weeks in the womb. https://erlc.com/resource-library/articles/study-shows-preborn-babies-feel-pain-as-early-as-12-weeks-gestation/ I am not saying it is right to kill them before they feel pain; on the contrary. It is never all right to kill a baby at any gestational age. It is still taking a life. Period.
In our society, it has become the norm to murder children. Abortion is the murder of a preborn baby, pure and simple. There are not any explanations or exceptions to this meaning. Our choices are not the baby’s fault. They are innocent. Sadly, God will judge individuals, and all countries for these acts. No one escapes his judgment unless they fall to their knees and ask for forgiveness.
Now for the good news. For those who have considered abortion or have had one or multiple abortions, God waits for you to talk with him. He wants you to tell him about your situation and confess your sins with heartfelt sorrow. He forgives anyone asking for forgiveness from the heart. Pauls’ gospel says it all which is in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 as Paul’s gospel. They read: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: It says Christ died, he was buried and he rose again on the third day. Once believe these verses from the heart, the person will be saved from the wrath of God.
I know several women who have had abortions. Their lives have never been the same. God forgives any woman who has had an abortion; when she comes to him sincerely believing in her heart, he will forgive her. God is faithful to forgive our sins if we ask him. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.
God’s love is everlasting. He does not stop loving us when we commit sins or disown us when we do not love or care about what he thinks. However, please understand that Hell is a place of everlasting torment, and you do not want to go there. https://www.crosswalk.com/slideshows/10-things-you-should-know-about-hell.html
My friends, it is easy to ask God for forgiveness if you have had an abortion. That said, this blog is a judgment-free zone for those who have had abortions. There is no condemnation here, just a place for you to understand his forgiveness and his unending love.
I hope this blog is a blessing to all who search for Christ. His love is unmatched and will always continue. He offers salvation- no questions asked. I'd love to hear from you.
