God is Not Politically Correct
Welcome, friends, to another week. As the day approaches, the Bible compares Satan to a lion. He uses many schemes to waylay even “believers.”I noticed several schemes this week. The Bible tells us in Luke 21:36 that we should be vigilant about our spiritual state and be spiritually awake as we go through life…Sadly, “Christian” and secular media now push their agendas in plain sight. https://www.bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/bible.show/sVerseID/25863/eVerseID/25863
One: Misdirecting the word. Satan’s favorite tools are pastors (counterfeit) and movies. I’ve noticed that writers intentionally apply politically correct words into their scripts, especially in some Christian movies. For example, some no longer pronounce couples as husband and wife but as friend and friend. God uses husband 152 times and wife 370 times. (Deuteronomy 12:32)
Two: Pushing agendas. To date, society pushes agendas to persuade those who disagree that we are incorrect and we should get on board. Today it is transgenderism which is very prevalent in movies. As a sly way of marketing this agenda, producers may include shots of merchandise or dialogue affirming gender identity. (Leviticus 18:22 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
Three: Equalizing gods- false teaching. On social networks, movies, and the internet, we see the cross, a Buddhist statue, or other religious symbols confirming many faiths labeled “Christian.” However, there is only one God and one faith. All gods do not save, nor were they crucified. Ephesians 4:5-6 says One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Four: Making sin seem innocent. Movies, the internet, and some “politically correct pastors” continuously push sin by making it seem like it is not a big deal. Sin is never innocent. We all are sinners, which is why Christ died for us. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Once they downplay sin, no one has a reason to seek Christ’s forgiveness.
The love of Christ has undoubtedly grown cold. Paul talked about this in his letter to Timothy: For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (Timothy 3:1-5)
My friends, we have come to a time where wrong is right and right is wrong. Deception has always thrived, but more so today. However, God said this would happen. As in anything, we must be vigilant. Satan is out to get Christians. He has new moves and is sneaking around in sheep’s clothing. Many will be deceived to think they are Christians when they have never committed their hearts to Christ. This verse came to mind: Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. ( Matthew 7:21) Just because a person says they are a Christian does not mean they follow Christ. Many proclaim Christ but follow a different Christ and preach another gospel. (Galatians 1:6)
We have to be aware of Satan’s schemes. They are many today. He comes at us in different ways, family (the most effective), through entertainment (huge), and even through churches. His goal is to make the Christian fall. Just because something looks and sounds great does not mean it is. Sadly, even some “Christian” movies, songs, books, or churches are not what they appear. To that end, some subtly distort the gospel. Stay strong, my friends, and pray continuously (1 Thessalonians 5:17). God is not politically correct. He is the God of the universe who made all of us. However, he does not push anyone to accept his gift. https://biblereasons.com/one-god/. On a side note, have you noticed the internet now uses a lowercase “g” when referencing God?
Once we believe from the heart, Christ saves us from his wrath. (Romans 10:9-10) Many have not heard of the following; it is the basis of our salvation. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) reads: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
