Nothing's Too Hard For God
Welcome friends to another week. I wrote several blogs before this one. I intended to publish at least one of them Thursday (May 4), however, Romans 8:28 surfaced several times this week. If God is for us who can be against us? That said, the Kendrick brothers used this line in one of their movies: “Is there anything too hard for God?” God repeatedly proves these verses many times in our lives. This week was not an exception to God’s goodness.
The week before last, I contemplated changing a monthly expense provider. I thought about it and then asked God to show me what to do. He did. I changed the provider. Afterward, I discovered the provider raised their monthly rates substantially. I praised God, for intervening. The lesson was this: there is nothing too hard or too small he can’t handle. (Jeremiah 32:27)
Another instance made me cry. I have several close relatives; I continue frequently and consistently praying they find salvation. One of them began reading the Bible and is now looking for a church to attend. He has visited several churches in our area but has not settled on one yet. However, months ago, he did not give any clues he thought about Christ as his savior. Yet, today, he believes in Christ. God answers prayers. These are only two examples of God’s goodness and mercy.
We read about his provisions in the Bible from the Old and the New Testaments. However many do not think he still works the same way he did in the Bible. Yet, he has shown me time and time again, he has not changed. His words are always yes and amen. He never leaves us stranded without a way out. I am amazed, but not surprised he answered my prayers. This is the second time in weeks, he answered my prayers about situations most would think are too small.
When thinking about those in the Bible we realize God is still God. For example, God protected the three boys, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego while they were in the furnace. (Daniel 3: 12-26). In the end, King Nebuchadnezzar said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. God showed the king who he was. (Daniel 3:28).
God created the world from nothing in Genesis, chapter one, and following. He created everything from the heavens, and animals, from the largest to the smallest, to humans from beginning to end in six days, then rested. No one on Earth can perform such a miracle. (Genesis 1-2) God did not even forget butterflies or ants. That said, nothing is too hard for God. (Genesis 18:14). Sarah had a child when she was 90 years old. (Genesis 17-21).
Sometimes we think God is far from us, however he is near and listens to every word and knows all thoughts. He has shown me many times, he is with me. These situations were only several examples of his goodness and mercy. God tells us many times he protects us. For example, Isaiah 54:17, tells us no weapons anyone uses against us will prosper. God also tells us our thinking is futile because we do not think as he does. (Isaiah 55:8). God’s thoughts are on a level we can’t comprehend. Therefore, when trouble or decisions come into our lives, God establishes protection, and delivery and solves problems we think are too big. It is during these times; we recognize we are not in control and we must lean on God.
He shows us daily he is with us. It does not matter that people attempt to derail us. We should not give in and never give up. Nor should we allow Satan to disturb our walk with God. One of my favorite sayings is this: God’s got this. He does. He will not let us down. Many verses in the Bible indicate there is nothing he can’t handle if we only trust in him. God is faithful (2 Thessalonians 3:3) Psalm 138:7- He protects us from our enemies. God won’t leave us when trouble comes. (Deuteronomy 31:6) We know we are God’s children. (1 John 5:19) God gives us strength to get through the hard times. (Isaiah 41:10). God delivers us from evil. (2 Timothy 4:18) He gives us armor. (Ephesians 6:11) We will not be afraid of what anyone does to us. (Hebrews 13:6) Lean on him and stay strong.
I hope this blog blesses all who search for Christ. God's love is unmatched and will always continue. He is the ruler of all and offers salvation- (1 Corinthians 15:1-4); Jesus loves each of us; however, he is a righteous judge. Will you please consider making Christ a priority in your life? God gives grace and mercy daily; therefore, every day is another chance to accept his gift of salvation. I would love to hear from you.
