Welcome friends. In my younger days, I wanted to become a pilot. First, I enrolled in a ground school course where potential pilots learn flight mechanics and critical thinking. Upon completion, the soon-to-be pilot also completes the second part, which is flying. An Air Force pilot in my squadron knew I loved to fly and arranged a time for me to spend in a C130 cockpit to watch them. I was in hog heaven. Though I could not finish the actual flying and the solo flight, I never lost my heart for aviation.
We should not lose heart either as we continue watching for our savior's return, no matter how bad things seem. As I read the accounts of each disciple's death, I wondered if I had the tenacity to die for Christ as well, or I would quit. Then I thought about it this way. If I can die for my country, I certainly can die for Christ. That said, Paul was beheaded. Rome crucified Peter upside down. The Soviet Union (It was not the USSR then.) crucified Andrew. Spears pierced Thomas. A leader cruelly killed Philip. They stabbed Matthew, stoned and clubbed James. Simon refused to worship a deity, so they killed him. Syrians burned Matthias to death, and John died of natural causes. Today, various countries still kill missionaries for the gospel. If they could go through all of those horrible means of death, especially Jesus, then who am I? The answer is no one. So what is your point, you may ask? It is this. If we think only missionaries overseas are killed or jailed. Think again. Homeland Security has identified domestic terrorists. You may think of radical extremists. Not so; we are the threat. Below is the shortlist below. The more extended version is on their website.
According to Homeland Security, we are terrorists. Please read the following:

Like the disciples, we are going to persevere. We will continue spreading the gospel, going to church, and praying for the lost. We are not worried about these events as we know they have to take place. However, we should be aware. Jesus is coming back to take us home. We will continue watching for his return. 1 Thessalonians 5:6 says this: 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
Frankly, I am counting this news as joy. I am joyful that we are worthy of persecution for the sake of Christ. Does this mean we may lose everything we hold dear if the Lord does not come soon? Maybe, this is where the rubber meets the road. Either we are all in for Christ, or we are not. My friends persecution is here. Hebrews12: 35-40 fits what may come to us today. However, like the disciples, we are going to persevere. We are not worried about these events as we know they have to take place. Count it, joy! Rejoice! We will continue spreading the gospel, going to church, praying for the lost, and Christ soon return. We are not worried about these events as we know they have to take place. However, we should be aware. Last, would you please pray for Christians, Americans, and those in Afghanistan? Also, for more information, please visit the following links:
