Welcome friends to another week. I had the most sobering thought this week. I thought about this: What have I done for Christ? I was thinking about the cross and how Jesus laid down his life for anyone who believes. It was as if a light bulb had gone off in my head. What have I done? Did I tell the world about his love, compassion, and grace? Or did I keep it to myself?
When we become Christians, our job becomes spreading the gospel to everyone. We would like as many as possible to join us at the marriage supper of the Lamb. No one is perfect- far from it. Messing up comes with the territory of being human. That said, many church websites and some preachers are not aware of Paul’s gospel, which is this: , “Jesus died for our sins; he was buried and rose on the third day.” Therefore, once Christ saves a person, it is up to the individual to proclaim the gospel of their salvation. Many would have you believe there are many roads to salvation; however, there is only one road through Jesus Christ. Matthew 7:14 NKJV says this: “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Reasons why people may not share the gospel: They are scared to say the wrong words. Others do not know where to find the gospel in the Bible while some never heard of this verse. Many maybe shy and hardly talk at all, then others may think about their sins and don’t say anything. It is okay if words do not come out exactly right (The Holy Spirit will guide us.) The Lord rewards efforts. Many have become saved by someone talking about Christ. People may say, "I don’t know the Bible well enough". Though our words may not be fancy; reaching the person’s heart is the main goal. God gives the increase. Time is short, and the world is out of control; those watching know the hour is coming quickly, therefore sharing the gospel is like sharing gold-precious. The gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (NKJV).
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
My friends, the gospel is straightforward and to the point. Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Many have not heard this news despite attending church all of their lives. Sadly, while searching for churches, there only a few websites that referenced Paul’s Gospel. However, there are exceptions on social media: Robert Breaker, Tim Henderson, Watchwoman 65, Chad Thomas, The Watchman and Message for our Times, which share the gospel.
Jesus died so all can have life after the one on Earth. He does not want anyone to be lost for eternity. Below are also great verses to use during your testimony of salvation.
For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes will not perish but will have everlasting life. John 3:16
for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Remember: I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Our testimonies are so essential, they are worth visiting multiple times. This world is coming to an end as we know it. The Bible bears witness to this fact. If you or someone you know have not accepted Christ as your personal savior, please think about it. If you have accepted him, please help to spread the gospel.
Everyone has the chance to change, accept Christ and not be left on Earth to go through the tribulation (God’s punishment for the Earth). It is only too late when a person dies. Will you please help to spread Christ’s love?
